LEARN to CURL Program
We can provide all the equipment you need when you come to learn to curl. The club has extra brooms, stabilizers, and grippers in S, M, L, and XL to put over you shoes.
When you come to curl you should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement, layers is often helpful. Please carry a pair of comfortable shoes for activity, which you will put grippers over. The soles should be narrow coming down from the ankle. Many sneakers today flare out and the grippers do not fit them well. It is helpful if your shoes are clean, especially the soles. Even the tiniest piece of dirt can affect the stone on the ice.
If you are concerned with bending down to get into position to throw a stone, then you might want to consider using a delivery stick to throw your stone. This is one way this sport accommodates all ages and abilities.
