The Pittsfield Curling Club commenced operations in January 1897 following the purchase of three building lots on Dalton Avenue from the Morningside Land Improvement. The facility featured three curling sheets and was utilized for curling, ice skating, and hockey. Sliding windows were installed and opened at night to maintain ice quality. The upstairs area included a kitchen and a ladies' parlor, while two glass-enclosed balconies provided views of the rink.
The club was dismantled in 1903, and the property was sold to Stanley Electric Manufacturing Co. in October of that year. Club trustees discussed the possibility of establishing a new facility at a different location.
