Curling! Yes, it’s the sport played on ice—with the stones, and the sweeping, and the yelling. It’s a rapidly growing winter sport, growing faster in the U.S. than in any other country. In our region, Curling Club of the Berkshires is where the action happens.
At CurlBerkshires, we are dedicated to providing great curling for our members, and teaching and promoting the sport. We have 60 members, from teens to the 80s. We rent ice time at the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club and we travel to dedicated clubs such as the Albany Curling Club, Schenectady Curling Club and Norfolk Curling Club.
If you’re already a curler, check out our events and sign up! If you want to try curling for the first time, we offer many opportunities and provide all the equipment and instruction you need. Just contact us, and you’ll be on the ice in no time.
Annual Curling Gear Check
Now is a good time to check and update/replace your equipment before the season's first event begins. Check your grippers to make sure the rubber is in good condition and that it does not show signs of wear. Pieces of rubber are often found on the ice and can affect the path of the stone. Also check your broom pad for signs of wear usually consisting of thread wear or the fabric becomes shiny.

Events are booking up, so we recommend early sign-ups. Please put your name on the waiting list if you want to be contacted in the event of any cancellations. If there is enough interest we might be able to expand the session.
